My first original design!

Post by chrisbaer » Tue Apr 30, 2019 1:51 am

So, I'm probably more excited than is warranted about my latest guitar, but I'm really happy to have one that is of my own design! I decided to work in a slight offset to the lower bout and it think it gives a bit of a feeling of motion to the guitar - it's also very comfortable to play, as it moves your arm closer to the sound hole. I do have some questions about the Spectrum Analysis, but I'll put those in another post.

This should probably go in a different thread, but I wanted to put it here as a thank you to Trevor and Gerard for their excellent books and to this forum for everyone's help along the way!

Nice Chris. Did you make the endgrain binding yourself? It has a very nice effect.

Thank you, Trent! I did make the binding and was really pleased with how it came out. I'll definitely use that again... it has sort of a graphic quality with the little straight lines and dots.
