Hi
I thought I would post some of the tools, jigs, aids, and machines I have come up with over the years. It occurred to me that there must be many hundreds of members and others out there who visit this forum in search of ideas and inspiration. I came to this assumption when noticing that regular contributors’ posts can get minimal comments or questions at times but get thousands of views, in a short space of time in some cases.
I thought there must be a host of newcomers to Lutherie among those who are just viewing and may welcome what I post…or not. If the more seasoned builders among us get something too, well that’s a bonus.

Let’s start off with a simple idea.
The Fret End Catcher:
Pictures tell the story, and it only took me 50 years to come up with this idea due to my wife complaining of tiny fret ends in the carpet in the house.
Thanks for looking.

Yes and it will help missing some of the fret bits on the bench and denting a box.
