Two new builds Huon and Tiger myrtle
Two new builds Huon and Tiger myrtle
I have been reading this forum for some time, and wish to thank all contributors,
it has fuelled my interest and helped me create the attached:-12 fret Huon pine cut away, all from the same block, neck, back ,sides and soundboard aprox1200 to 1600 years old, tiger myrtle fret board, also a 14fret Huon and tiger myrtle,Huon from the same block as the other guitar neck and sound board.
could not be happier with the results.

Thanks Trent, the finish is Nitro/cel and the rosettes are Malle Burl one with segmented abalone on the circumferance, I will take some more photos and try to add to the existing, These are my first two guitars I have built, The 14fret was for my Son and the 12fret was specificaly designed for a couch guitar for my Dred was way to big! for the couch! I have to thank Luthiers Darrell and Hugh at Wheeler's Lutherie for their expert guidance and support, I am now selling the Dred for I love the playability and sound of both the new ones.lamanoditrento wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 8:35 amWell done MAPP! Sorry for the late reply MAPP, I am currently busy with house renovations and would love to start another guitar build. I'll have to be patience until the renovations are completed.
Yes and as you mentioned being local in the shire in would be good to meet sometime perhaps once the renovations are completed.
