All Lurkers Please Read

Looking through the list of members I'm seeing a huge number of lurkers. I've talked to Bob about this and we've decided that if you've been a member of the ANZLF for at least 6 months and you haven't posted then were giving you two options:

1. Put up a post and at least introduce yourself OR
2. Post Bob and Myself a six pack of Guinness. For any Americans...any beer that doesn't make you throw up will suffice.

P.S. Nobody cares how trivial you may think your build is....put up a post and share with us what you're up to

My name is Jody and I am a lurker.... have been browsing this forum over the past year and love it!

Attended Allen and Michael's ukuleke building class more than a year ago which was life changing to say the least! Since then have moved cities and have built a small workshop, albeit lacking in specialty tools and wood! Will be embarking on my ukulele building very soon! So exciting!

Based in Napier, New Zealand also play the ukulele!

Hi guys , well with only 5 posts since 2009 I spose I'd be a lurker too.
I build the odd electric maybe one a year , I'd like to do an acoustic but don't have the space for a decent setup .

My name is Garth and yes, I too would be called a lurker. I joined over a year ago and find the information on this forum inspirational to say the least. I have built quite a few electric guitars and basses in my time but now days I am concentrating on building Acoustic Instruments. I will post some pics on this forum in due time.

My name is John Steele and have been a member for a few years. After several moves across the US I guess I slowly slipped into lurkerdom. I am still building. I am like a good many of you here meaning I mostly build because I love it. I always check in to see what you all are up to as this is one of, if not the best, sites on all things guitar related. I have a few builds going but life keeps getting in the way of their completion.

And although not US beer, I find these quite enjoyable

Hey all,

I've haven't posted in a while, mostly because life has been interrupting my build schedule. I've been working on a twelve string on and off for a couple of years now. I had intended it to be complete about 15 months back but, well, life happened.

It is an original body shape, which i designed to fit into a case I'd inadvertently bought. That is, I'd bought it intentionally, but it was the wrong case. Anyway, waste not, want not. So I designed a guitar to fit into it. I took a pic just prior to getting the neck carved. Currently I am pondering how to fix the neck block. I bollixed it up trying to get the neck angle nailed down. Now I have to either reinforce it in place, or take it apart and re-do.
