Walnut on Walnut.

As a side project I took some pretty much flat sawn walnut and a neck that did not work out well with the body that was built with it. Just an experiment as I did not know what it would sound like and did not want to waste wood or time on it if it turned out to be a dud. Don't know it it will survive once the humidity rises but at the moment it sounds pretty good.



Back with one coat of wipe on poly on it along with a walnut spruce I am building.



Strung up.

Interesting use of tantalones under the top...any specific reason for this as opposed to kerfed lining as youve used on the back?

Thought I could get a better joint when using hide glue. Also when gluing the sides to the top the pieces of wood were not under any stress. I would like to work towards having the lest stress built into the guitar as possible. Whether it effects the performance of the guitar, no idea.

Just realized I didn't list the frequencies. Hole, 95, top which I am guessing are the two peaks of 178 and 217. Ant idea what is going on there?
