I picked up one like that a while ago, thinking to use it for bridge pins, but it's 5 degree, not 3. Mine is anyway. I use screw in strap buttons, but I think the usual timber ones are 5 degree?

Yeah That's right Nick , I like to have a 3 and 5 degree available. I'm finding both 3 and 5 degree tapers on bridge pins.

It looks like more then 5 degrees to me but I have not done the math. Some figures on site as long as they are accurate.
