The Landfill Harmonic

Post by Allen » Sat Dec 15, 2012 7:22 am

This was posted over on The Ukulele Underground, and it's just so bloody good I thought it should be shared with as many people as possible. I'm left amazed and feeling pretty humbled by what can be accomplished by a group of talented people and nothing more than trash.

They use trash. . .
I have lots of nice tonewood & great tools to work with, I hope that I build instruments that will sound just as good.

Truly amazing. . . I wish them all good fortune.
cheers wayne . . .

I thought that the Cello was very clever. And how about the flute....What was it, coins and buttons for the keys?

Thanks for that Allen, really worth looking at. It reminded me of when I worked in the disability field and formed a band the members of which were young men and woman with varied abilities. One guy I remember loved the bass he built using a box and a lady who played violin I helped her to make out of a milk tin took it everywhere. I have them playing on an old video, guitar, banjo, bass, violin and drums. I might have to dig it out and have a look.
