I'd agree with that. Always nice to see Quade Cooper in tears. Bring on the final!

Excellent game! Took the old pulse rate about an hour to come down after that. Great display of rugby when all 15 players bring it. Think the first 30 minutes were the bit where the game was won, Aussie looked all at sea but like any Australian team, you can never write them off right up until the last whistle, which I think, is what made the game so exciting :D
Now we just have to exorcise the demons & beat the french.

We won't talk about that one Todd  That game was always going to be a foregone conclusion unfortunately. Of course the boys were going to turn it on for Lockyer's last home test which only added to our pain  .

I'll be the last one to say I like watching rugby, but thought I might just watch that game. It was a great match played at the top level. Not ice hockey mind you, but almost as rough.

Oh, and the Canucks don't care for the French....Common Kiwis, go all the way.

Hey Nick...won.....again.

Close game this time around...we could have gone down to the French quite easily. I watched the game in Hagley Park with thousands of rugby mad Cantabrians and even though it was freezing bldi cold it was a great evening and the buzz at the end of the game was unbelievable.

Yeah too bloody close! I swore at several of the players but I don't think they heard me through the screen  . I was going to go to the "fanzone" but the dropping temperature encouraged me to stay inside with my partner & a few ales (a rather tasty Wigram Breweries Russian Stout, certainly put a gloss on it the next day  ).
Wasn't a pretty game, the French played their style of "slowing the ball down" very well which pretty much negated our usual quick ball play so to use the rugby venacular "Full credit to them, they played well!" and if they hadn't been penalised we would have been sobbing in our stubbies (The drink, not the budgie smugglers) for another 4 years. But still, a one point win is a win so we'll take it.

LOL....yesterday I drove past Le Petit Hotel in Sumner and they had a huge tricolour hanging out the front of the building. I texted the owner and suggested that somebody might nick the thing overnight...today he had the flag safely around the back of the hotel.
