it's good to be back - surf green tele.

Hi everyone,

So it's been a while since I lurked the forums and its been even longer since i finished a guitar :dru . After a few tough years, pulled my finger out and have been bitten by the bug yet again. Finished this one last week and she's settlin' in nicely. Two piece Alder body with a fat birdseye maple neck. It's been a challenge, but the break has defiantly left me approaching guitar building with a different manner and attitude.

Hey nick,

I made the neck, had that piece sitting around for a while. The amps a 2X12 but its to much. I need to upgrade to something with less watts, I don't know how to use 60 haha

Image Shack uses a path which ends with .jpg for the page that displays the picture. You have to right-click on the picture to copy the path of the picture itself.

When quoting your message I got the URLs of these pages where you pictures are embedded:

Firstly, real nice job with the neck! :cl :cl
Secondly too much amp?    Yeah I have a 410 & even when I gigged I never got that volume knob up much past 5 but I just love the sound it knocks out so I still have it, even though I hardly use it these days :(

Love the guitar Deano. My friend built a "sea foam green" jazz bass with natural head and a rosewood fb. Great combo. I mentioned this build to him and found out a bit about fender colours. Apparently they used a few greens that were very close. A green came out called" foam" , the public started calling if sea foam so feader started calling it " sea foam".

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Nick, Sure it sound's lovely but 70% of the amps potential has never been used, and probably wont be. It still sounds nice, especially the clean - never really been a fan of fenders drive on the blues jnr, delux or deville... My point Less is more!

P bill, its a nice combo. Would love to see some pics of the Jazz.

Hada productive weekend in the workshop finishing off some tools and templates for the next hollow body. For those Jazz nuts check out 'Gene Harris, the three sounds - Babes blues' what an album. The man can play his keys!

Nice guitar, just like the real thing only better. What pups did you choose for that tidy lump of wood?

Here's the jazz base link : http://www.ozbassforum.com/viewtopic.ph ... 1&start=15

I got the order slightly wrong. Fender comes out with "foam green ", the public calls it "seafoam green" ,fender comes out with yet anouther green called "seafoam green".
