Solving a square peg in round hole sort of problem.

Got a new way of doing something? Or maybe an old method that needs some clarification.

Solving a square peg in round hole sort of problem.

Hi, My customer brought me this nice guitar to fit a battery box into the side, as he was sick of trying to access the battery through the F holes.
I had tried to find a quality battery box suitable for this narrow-side archtop guitar but all I could get was the type pictured here, for flat surface mounting.
Question… does a flat surface onto a curved surface go? Well yes, with a bit of work. The photos show how I did it.
