I finished this uke a few months ago.
Concert size with 14th fret neck joint.
Spruce top
Mahogany back
N G rosewood neck
E I rosewood fingerboard
Walnut bridge
Cnc cut plywood sides
with sunburst finish
Although not a stringed instrument, I also made this cajon for a Xmas present for my brother in law, it has a switchable snare.

Very nice!
I have to say that it struck me noticing that the sunburst on this uke (top
and back) are the first ones I have ever seen (or that I can recall) that
really remind me on the picture of the sun, or a sunset that is. You obviously have done something right!

Oh well, I think (or hope) the snare will go through as "strings". In any case, it looks good, thanks for showing off!

Nice Cajon, just finished a couple
myself. Looks like you veneered the box, I was thinking of doing that but went with stain in the end but it certainly cleans the box up with the 'one piece' look.
Your snare system, is it a lever connected to the slider on the side? I was going to incorporate something similar but have the lever down near the bottom so it could be operated with the foot so it could be dropped in and out in an instant but time constraints led me to constructing something far simpler.

They look great, I especially like that Cajon, it looks really stylish.
