I gave myself a bit of a challenge and decided to try and put something together for my Father 10 days out from his birthday.
This is my 7th acoustic so far, still learning and picked up a lot doing this one. Fit and finish definitely took a hit but it came out much better than expected.
Narra(Pterocarpus indicus) Back and sides, Fijian Mahogany neck, Maple biding, Pohutukawa Rosette and Headstock plate. Sitka top.
Full Mahogany kerfing, bolt on neck and lattice bracing on the back.
I did not get many photos but here is what I have.

I wonder why the lattice back? Is it live by Trevor's definition or is it designed to be non live.
Damned good looking for such a short build time!

Thanks Dave!
I am trying to keep the backs and sides rigid, I guess the idea is that the back reflects rather than vibrating in sympathy. The couple I have done like that have ended up louder but that might just be that I am getting better at voicing the tops.

That is a good week (and a bit) of work! I hope your father loves it. Very nice work to produce such a meaningful gift, and it looks like a great instrument.
