I found some old mahogany stair steps online for forty € and decided to see if my Record Power bandsaw was up to the task of sawing my own backs and sides (which is btw a first, never did that before).
In addition I tried my first real cutaway (before that I just tried the scooped version), tried a first time a top which is not spruce or cedar and last but not least I put in a pick up from Journeytek
Specs:
top, back and sides: probably sipo
headplate: pao ferro left overs
bridge: indian rosewood
binding: indian rosewood
bracing: falcate
Ok, that was already after sawing a few times but you get the idea.all mahagony 000 (salvaged wood)
