Hi,
This guitar, The Warrior, was built for a customer who commissioned it in memory of his recently deceased father. His father was a woodworker, so I was asked to select the timber from his workshop. He was also a longtime member of the Lions, so also incorporated some memorabilia from that club.
The guitar was to be a solid body resonator. The customer suggested that it be a solid black finish, but as I dislike covering up timber with paint we came to a compromise. I suggested that as the timber came from his dad's wood stash it would be nice if the grain was visible, so a sunburst-style effect was added to the back of the guitar. It has two pickups, one piezo and the other magnetic and the body is New Guinee Rosewood.
Thanks for looking,
Taff
