The Section 8 builds
The Section 8 builds
A few recent builds that I'm quite proud of;
The Milltown - Houndstooth custom The ECT450 MPD Redback Acoustic Plus a little custom refurb for the shredders Top it all off with a custom airbrush artwork of my caduceus logo.
Just a couple of headturners in there.

Re: The Section 8 builds
They are all beautiful works of art and fine instruments.
Be proud of the Houndstooth as I can see many hours of marquetry work.
I like the simplicity of the ECT 450 with carved top and wooden volume tone controls.
Thanks for sharing its a good feeling to be able to show your work to people like us who appreciate your time and effort.
Cheers
Alan

Thank you Alan,
That Houndstooth guitar is a once only top, I'm planning something a little easier for the next one.
This model is where I let loose with some ideas.
Its actually come back to my workshop for a little while, just to be photographed.
I didn't realize how much I miss it.
The ECT450 model is nice and subtle, looking at building a solid color version next.
Thanks again,
Mark Kirby

Hi Trent,
Interesting.... I'm hearing that a lot with this acoustic.
Undecided on the official model name for the Redback acoustic,
Originally the name was in latin which I could never remember, My wife named it.
But I think JLP is more fitting - Jagged Little Pill. Love the red stripe on this one.

Geez, they are all great, I like the hounds tooth the most. The airbrushing looks amazing too.

Thank you Col,
The Houndstooth is a real attention grabber.
I'm looking forward to using the Jarrah / Tasmanian Oak combination again on a future build but with a different pattern.
I've haven't clearcoated the airbrushed panel yet, there's a colorshifting paint used in the lettering and the darker snake that will show up when it's done. Metallic red to gold to emerald green, should be amazing if I've done it right.

The airbrushed panel is all cleared now, actually did it awhile ago.
If I've done this right the link should take you to the short video showing the snake changing color.

Will be using this color on an electric build soon.
