L1 style guitar
L1 style guitar
L1 style acoustic, 12 fret neck joint
Sitka spruce x braced top
EI rosewood back, fret board, bridge
New Guinea rosewood neck
Maple bindings.
The frequencies are higher than I wanted but it sounds good and is well balanced. After it was complete I didn't take any spectrographic data for 2 weeks to see if I could hear any problems while playing. I could not find any weak notes. After analysing the data T1 and T2 are well positioned although a little high. In the step is to increase the scallop in the back lower brace.

That is a really nice job Luke. I have always liked the old-timey look of the the L1 design, and the way it is all curves and no straight lines. I also like how your more modern bridge shape sits with the overall aesthetic. The rest of the features are really understated, which is just right. Did you work off a plan? Where did you get it?

Great stuff there Luke. Fantastic attention to details, like finish etc and inside the box. And ya gotta love those solid linings.

I made my own set of plans in autocad. I traced some images I found on the net, and researched typical dimensions. Then made adjustments to suit my scale length, bracing etc.Did you work off a plan? Where did you get it?
