Hi all
I said a while ago I'd put some pics of my 2023 build : 7-string left handed jazz archtop based on a Benedetto design.
Colour in the top was a first for me.
Main timbers : Engelman carved spruce top, Tassie blackwood carved back & sides, Tassie oak neck.
Thnx for looking.
Special thnx to Rod Octigan for some vital help along the way, esp regarding the finish.
Frank

Great result. Beautiful looking guitar build. Makes you want to pick it up and play this guitar.

Looks great. I've had a quart of black lacquer for about 10 years now with plans to do a black top someday. Yours provides more inspiration!

Absolutely beautiful Frank. How did you attach the pickguard? Only from the side of the fretboard or do you have another support ?
