That's a rare piece of wood for sure ,did we not have a secret grove of ancient pine here in OZ that went quiet .I had a good laugh the other day when reminded of the hateful eight guitar wreckin fiasco just a bit a wood with Martin written on it .

Yep Rod it sure is a shitload for a piece of dead tree, sorry i mean top grade tonewood. It may be the dearest piece of wood i have ever seen for sale.

Expensive yes...but as is the case for alot of things, the value of an item is basically how much the market is willing to pay for it.

Not one person has baulked at the surcharge I put on using this timber.

Remember it's just as easy to sell something to a person with money, as one without.

Yes I agree with Martin, but unfortunately for me , the market wont even pay me cost :lol:

People tell me that they can get a Cole Clark for $1800 and they have a known name,so mine could at most be worth only half that.

I might have to bury a guitar for a couple of thousand years to break even :D

I'm sure given that amount of time, Trevor Gore or his descendants will have worked out how to do this in a much shorter time! :mrgreen:
