There are a couple of guys in Victoria that have a rather massive blackwood (around a meter in diameter) log ready to be milled. They are professional timber millers and I happened to mention that they should cut some 1/4 sawn for instruments and seemed quite interested. What sizes would be recommended for billets so I can let them know before they back saw it all? They had cut another smaller log which it shown in the photo's its has no fiddleback but the colours are nice!
