Laminating a board for a neck.

Post by hillbillybass » Sat Jul 08, 2017 3:00 pm

So far all is progressing slowly, but well, on the double bass build. The next step is to make a start on the neck. I have a board of Queensland Maple which I'm thinking of laminating together to get the right width. I might even put a 3mm veneer of blackwood through the middle. Should I use hide glue or Titebond for this? If hide glue is the go, then I may wait until spring when the weather (and the shed) will hopefully be a little warmer.

Cheers and thanks,

Michael

No cold creep with HHG, so that would be my choice.
