I reckon half the attraction of a rosewood fretboard is it's pore structure.

What I've seen of EIR doesn't appear to have pores. :?:

Wait until you start spraying nitro onto EIR back and sides. The pores became quite obvious :)

E.I.Rosewood has plenty of pores. It sure would be handy if it didn't ! :lol:

I've got a couple of guitars with EIR fret boards, and the pores are plenty obvious. I'm not a big fan of them, so I've moved on to other local woods for fret boards.

Actually, the last EIR guitar I build didn't have pores so much as craters... :cry:

If the stuff you have hasnt got pores then its probably not EIR.
