Band Saw Tire

Post by hooked » Thu Oct 31, 2013 3:52 pm

All,

As a follow up in my unsuccessful quest to find manual for my CMWB-350 bandsaw, I now find I need to replace the tires.

First question......does anyone know who is the manufacturer of these saws? (Made in Taiwan in 1990)

Second question.....where can I get replacement tires?.... bearing in mind I still don't know the manufacturer.

THANKS

Daryl

All,

I have found the answer to Q1. The saw is an old Grizzly G1019 derivative.

THANKS

Liam/All,

Thanks. The polyurethane tires worked a treat. Service from Band Saw Tire Warehouse was super quick. Blade runs true with very little vibration in the saw. I had to have a little lie down after putting the new tires on. Talk about one armed paper hanger stuff.

Cheers

If you use a couple of clamps to hold the tire to the wheel to keep it from popping off while you are stretching it on it will go easy, also soak them in hot tap water but, not boiling.
