I've got one of them. They make a great blues slide guitar.

Im very surprised you painted the repair area black, it kind of detracts from the instrument

My mate Dekka was pretty impressed with this Repair, considering how bad the damage was when veiwed in the flesh , and the budget I was given to repair it , I posted the full series of pics on my Web page, He asked me why I did not post the project here , I replied because as sure as there is shit in a cat someone( I may have named some likely suspects ) will bag it without having seen the damage close up or been aware that the owner had already tried to repair it with Tarzan's grip with had eaten into the finish , leaving me little option other than to repaint the area.

Well Dekka , how acurate was I mate .

I did not have the luxury of scanning it with a 3d scanner and 3D printing a replica , so I did the best I could with the budget an clearly limited skills I have.

The Guy who owns it Is stoked, so I'm happy.

But thanks for the feedback.

Wow that was bitchy and un warranted.

The comment was I was surprised you painted the repair area black, it IMO detracts from the instrument,

In what way does a 3d scanner or a 3d printing replica etc have anything to do with the conversation.

I did not say the repair was crap I did not say your skills are lacking I did not insult you in any way, I made an observation about an end result.

If you want I can be bitchy as well, but its really IMO beneath me.

Regards

Steve

I'm sorry you feel that way. Even if a couple of people "bag" (not what I'd call it BTW) your work there'll be a lot more members who feel the opposite.

We actually made a false wall when we redid the front office a few years back, here is a photo just after it was done, they do look like framed photos, but are actually cavitys which we put instruments in to amuse the tourists

As a side note, I was not bagging, apologies if it came across that way, I was offering an opinion on an aesthetic viewpoint

Couldn't think of a better place for saxophones. That way they can't escape.
