Sound Ports
A lot of attention is given to the size of the sound hole on the top. Do ports on the side affect this size? Most guitars with side ports seem to have a normal size SH on top.

Re: Sound Ports
Ive seen discussed various methods of determining the size
some people go on infinitum about it needing to get it worked out to the square root of a gnats arse
I prefer the school of thought that says if you want one just put it in how you want.

Thanks for the link Trevor. A lot studies to research. It looks like I'll be going kicking and screaming.

Re: Sound Ports
This stuff fascinates me. I have to get Trevor's books! Maybe when the next commission payment comes in.
