Hauser Soundboard Clamps
Hauser soundboard clamps are now available!
These are made for Hauser Guitars and must meet Hermann Hauser's approval before being shipped!
For nostalgias sake, these are the same style clamps Hauser Sr. used to make the famous 1937 guitar for Segovia!
Below is a video of them.

They can be purchased at http://www.trilogyguitars.com

Pretty neat idea. Dead simple yet effective. It would be fairly easy to make a similar set-up if you were so inclined.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting this one David (and for the video too).
Nice idea. Nice price too (230 $) . Even though it certainly is the least expensive Hauser one can buy.
Needing more than one of these gizmos it might save some $$$ to get a wood threading set, even if it's also made in Germany (click here -this company has nothing to do with me although it's owner has the same surname as I). Duh Padma could make the tutorial for using a thread cutting tool correctly.
It's really amazing how many methods for plate joining do exist.

I'm glad you liked it.schrammguitars wrote:Cool link! Looks like a top notch thread cutter! [...]
If treating with care one's wallet is a point at all , there certainly exist less expensive thread cutters. I just got this link from a Spanish cyberbuddy (sorry, that online shop seems only to be in Spanish - that's the price for saving some $$$ or €€€).
Such thread cutters surely are also available somewhere else.

That same shop is one of the few places on line that I've seen the Makita 3709 for sale. It is the cheapest laminate cutter that I've seen with a brand name on it. I've never been able to find any opinions about it though. Shipping unfortunately can be a bit pricey. Maybe I should try and get my boss to send me to Madrid again - I haven't been there for 18 months or more. .charangohabsburg wrote:. Yeah, Carba-Tec (whom I used to work for) here in Australia sell those units. Probably other places too.

They are ok, ex Taiwan I think I recall. Not really designed for a lot of use in the toughest edge dulling timber, but work well enough with care and common sense. Certainly wouldn't have anything on those German ones though.
