We had another fun and very interesting get together on the 22nd at Keith McKenzies shop.
Some new members were present including
Mr. Bozo Podunavac who is 81 years old and still knocking out guitars!!
Over 700 made and counting!
And David Bland,Pete Serell,Kermit Barnthouse,John Risler,and Gary Dilley joined the group.
We all had a great time playing guitars,I Really enjoyed that, and discussing luthiery all day! Here are a few pics I took...

Allen, Yeah, It was a lot of fun. I recommend putting a group together of guitar makers. I look forward to the next one already!
I don't know if it was the same as a tenor uke but here is a pic of the back.I think he called this blister koa. Yes it had steel strings.

Many, many, moons ago when I was shopping for my 1st "real" guitar I had my heart set on a Bozo'. It caught me from the 1st time I picked it up in the shop in Santa Cruz. My mentor talked me into a Guild that day (F-30). Nice guitar and I still have it but rarely play it. Everytime I see Mr. Podunavac's name I think of that guitar. It was sweet. I remember him from over 30 years ago!

Nice to read something about Bozo and the fact he is still alive and making guitars.
I still have a classical guitar made by Bozo. Serial number B5.
I bought this instrument in Holland in 1980 and took her with me to Australia.
I have not played her too much and now made my own guitar .
This guitar made by Bozo Padanuvac is still in very good order and did not change due to a different climate. A lovely instrument.
