I've heard LR Baggs Lyric pickups are good as well, but have only heard reports and sound clips from 6-string Steel guitars installations.
Haven't been able to find much on the net re use with ABGs.

I tru-oil'd a uke a couple of years ago. 4 or 5 coats - I think - sanding between coats like Col. Turned out pretty well, although not as glossy as french polish. Easier though.
