Re: Kootenay Tonewoods
I have purchased a small quantity of tops recently - about 6 or so from Music Spruce Canada. They were easy to deal with when ordering. They haven’t arrived yet - I picked the slowest shipping option known to man by accident. Completely my fault. I am very keen for them to arrive. Can’t wait for The...

Re: Performax 16/32 Sander - belt tracking
Are these issues the experience with these type of drum sanders - they all look very similar - I.e timbecon, H&F, Carbatec? Or is it just an issue with the Jet model?
Thanks
Dan

Re: Bandsaw recommendations
I just wanted to let you all know I took your advice and purchased the 14 inch Hare and Forbes. I was waiting until it got here to provide an update, but it is taking longer than I hoped.
Either way, I just wanted to thank you, and let you know your advice was acted on

Re: Cooba Guitar now completed
Thanks Wayne. Sorry, I wasn't criticising your playing in any way, I thought it was great. I was merely replying to your comment ' I need to work on my guitar playing skills to improve my timing '. Just trying to be helpful and what has worked for me in part. After almost 30 years, I find I need to ...

Re: Bandsaw recommendations
Thanks Peter,
I did see you previous post about the Inca bandsaw. I have been looking (given your recommendation) . They seemed to be highly regarded and don't come up for sale often (or at least whilst I have been looking).
Glad to hear you are staying away from that bucket

Re: Bandsaw recommendations
Thanks All, I really appreciate your advice, and willingness to share your experience and expertise. A cheaper H&F bandsaw it is (and a drum sander). If I do need to have something resawn, I always can get that done in a pinch (and a drive). I spoke to H&F earlier this morning. Just for information ...

Bandsaw recommendations
Hi All, I know this topic has been addressed previously, but given some recent changes in pricing and availability (I expect COVID related), I thought I would ask for updated advice. I am thinking about getting a bandsaw. Having read a lot of the posts, a 14" seems to be the recommendation. It would...

Re: Cooba Guitar now completed
Hi Wayne, It is a really beautiful guitar. I clicked on the link and have had your playing on whilst I am working. Nice playing, don't sell yourself short!! If you are really think you need to improve your timing, there is a great app called Rhythm Trainer. It shows a rhythm and then you tap the rhy...

Making good progress Richard.
I wasn't aware of the straw trick - when I first saw it, I thought 'that is not going taste great'

Re: New Member Introduction
Thanks for the welcome Gents. I used to have access to a well equipped workshop but that is no longer the case, so I am now just stocking up on tools that can be used in my home garage. I am focussing a lot more on hand tools now, rather than machinery. It is also much safer for the little guy. I do...
