Re: Custom Wengi - Slope shoulders - Wenge & Torrified Spruce
Hi Mark, This is my first slope shoulder guitar but I agree, there is something special in this shape and shorter scale than usual. The bracing is a "normal" X but I have used red cedar for the X and spruce for the rest, see pic. Nothing special in construction other than, if you intend to use Wenge...

Re: Custom LMX - Crossover Nylon in Ovangkol / Red Cedar
Thanks Wayne, a very happy owner here :-) the guitar sounds awesome (not my words :) ) powerful with clear and balanced trebles, I went to the lower limit of thickness with this soundboard, unfortunately I only have another set of this quality. The rosette was pre-made, owner choice. I had other eng...

Re: Dead notes on 13th fret
I guess the fret is loose, you may need to glue it in place. Tap with something hard (but not to hard so you don't damage the fret) and see if it sounds different that the other frets. A loose fret will have a dead sound compared to a properly seated fret.

Re: 13 frets Prima-R in Padauk/Bearclaw Sitka
Thanks Asgilbert & good spot Mark :-) , A couple of years ago have built a small cnc machine that I mainly use for inlays.. My job relates to process automation so it wasn't to difficult to go hand-on with the cnc tech. I prefer to spend my time in designing nice inlays more than becoming half blind...

Thanks for the comment Dave.
The bridge Martin doesn’t like is about 3950 sqmm ....so I guess I am going to take the risks. Cheers Valter
Oh, I have got the books few weeks ago and I am slowly going through the theory volume now.

Bridge minimum gluing area
Hi everyone :-) The pic below shows a bridge which I have built for my new guitar project (Prima-R). The idea was to build a smaller bridge with the aim to slightly decrease the overall mass with respect to a standard belly bridge. The E to e is exactly as I wanted (56.5mm) but I am now wondering if...
