Re: Scum bags - thieving shits
I feel your pain brother. I had my tool trailer flogged from my front lawn about a year ago. Dickholes just rolled up, unhooked it off my ute, whacked it on their car and bolted. Arsehats couldnt al least unhook the lights for my so they ripped out the socket. $2000 for the trailer (which was only 3...

Also this one is 2 inches long rather than 1 - 1 1/2 inches from Carbitool. You blokes might not need that much but I do when doing solid bodies

jescar super jumbo
Hey everyone, Has anyone here ever used the super jumbo (FW58118) frets from Jescar? Or any simalar sized fret? (I believe Dunlop 6000 are the same) I'm doing a new commision build and the client says he loves jumbo frets (the bigger the better he says!) but these frets are a bit bigger than anythin...

i have sprayed mirotone 3220 in solid colour no problems. I went to my local paint specialist store and asked for industrial colour pigment. Its the same sort of stuff that is used in epoxy for concrete floors etc. but it has worked a treat in the 3220. im not sure of the brand because the gent behi...

just curious if anyone here has any experience with Richlite fretboards. I believe Gibson and Martin (amongst others) are using it nowadays but I have never seen or heard one.
Also if anyone knows where to get this stuff that would be most helpful

hey rod im the same I have a jointer but everything else is done the old fashioned way. I figure i have a few ways to cut the body out (handsaw, coping saw, jigsaw etc.) but i have no way of thicknessing stock...hence why i want a thicknesser

Re: helical cutter thicknessers
i appreciate that kim but i dont feel like a drum sander would be very efficient at milling rough lumber to the right size. I sometimes need to be taking off 5mm to 10mm to get to the right thickness.

Re: helical cutter thicknessers
great tips guys! Jeremy: I absolutely would never considering running back and sides through it :) i know it would never replace a thickness sander but as I build solid body electrics I dont find myself working with wood that thin anyway. I would LOVE one but they are not as necessary for electric b...
